Naughty Patty’s

Wardrobe Styling the Naughty Patty's Campaign:

When I was brought on to style the advertising campaign for Naughty Patty's inside the Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, the creative direction was clear: capture the playful nostalgia of a classic 1950s diner while keeping the fashion relevant, aspirational, and visually compelling for today's audience. I love a good vintage look, but true to my aesthetic I also clean clean lines with a modern flair.

The 1950s remain one of fashion's most recognizable decades. Full skirts, cinched waists, fitted silhouettes, varsity influences, and polished grooming immediately evoke a sense of Americana. However, leaning too heavily into costume can make a campaign feel theatrical rather than contemporary. The goal is always to create looks that nodded to the era without appearing like wardrobe from a period film.

Instead of relying on literal vintage pieces, I focused on modern garments that referenced classic silhouettes. High-waisted trousers, structured dresses, fitted knits, and retro-inspired accessories allowed me to capture the essence 1950’s vibe while maintaining a fashion-forward aesthetic.

Every styling choice had to support the restaurant's personality: playful, slightly cheeky, energetic, and distinctly Las Vegas. As much as I like to take credit, ultimately the creative team approve every look and request changes.

Throughout the process, each look was carefully curated and refined through creative reviews. Pieces that felt too contemporary risked losing the retro influence, while looks that leaned too heavily into vintage references could distract from the modern restaurant experience. Finding that balance required thoughtful editing and continual collaboration.

Color, Texture, and Character

Color played a significant role in bringing the campaign to life. Saturated reds, crisp whites, denim blues, navy and pops of yellow helped reinforce the classic diner aesthetic.

Each outfit was designed to support a character—someone you might imagine stepping into a modern-day diner with a wink to the past. The end result was one that I was happy with

The Final Result

The finished campaign successfully blended vintage inspiration with contemporary fashion, creating imagery that felt nostalgic without being dated. It captured the playful spirit of Naughty Patty's while maintaining the elevated visual standards expected within the Cosmopolitan environment.

Projects like this are a reminder that great styling isn't just about clothing—it's about storytelling. The most successful looks help bridge creative concepts, brand identity, and audience connection. For this campaign, that meant taking inspiration from the 1950s and reimagining it through a modern lens, resulting in a collection of images that felt both familiar and fresh.

It's exactly the kind of creative challenge that makes fashion styling a fun job, which I am thankful to love.
